She leads our Human Resources department, applying her talent management expertise across the organization.
Briggs leads significant HR initiatives, such as job architecture—defining positions, market compensation strategy and hierarchy and opportunities—to ensure employee compensation is competitive and equitable based on individual qualifications. She also oversees a substantial portfolio of critical HR programs, including our internal culture survey and performance management and promotions processes. Before joining us, she held leadership and management roles at Washington Gas WGL and Definitive Logic, a technology systems firm where she provided talent management guidance to officers, directors and managers. She has more than 19 years of experience in Human Resources, including business partnership, change management and employee engagement.
Briggs earned a Bachelor’s in Safety and Environmental Management from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. She lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband, two children, rescue dog Chief Martin Brody and Greg the bearded dragon.
