Lion exploitation

Dogfighting
Dogfighting is where dogs who have been bred, conditioned and trained to fight are placed in a pit to fight each other for spectator entertainment and profit. Join Humane World for Animals as we work to end this cruelty.
Cockfighting
Cockfighting is an age-old practice in which two or more specially bred birds, known as gamecocks, are placed in an enclosed pit to fight for the primary purposes of gambling and entertainment. A typical cockfight can last anywhere from several minutes to more than half an hour and usually results in the death of one or both birds.

Rescuing Animals in Crisis
Our Animal Rescue Team works with law enforcement to investigate the worst cases of animal abuse nationwide. Every year, we rescue thousands of animals from puppy mills, animal fighting operations, disasters and other large-scale situations of cruelty and neglect.
Captive/canned hunts
Humane World for Animals is fighting to end captive/canned hunting. From the trophy hunting of mountain lions to killing coyotes for prizes, wild animals big and small unfortunately find themselves in the crosshairs of those who kill for sport.
