MONTREAL, Quebec—Following an extended rescue operation from an allegedly neglectful breeder in the United States, 11 rescued dogs were transported to Humane World for Animals’ Canadian care and rehabilitation centre near Montreal, where they are receiving dedicated care and treatment.  

Ryan Easley, the owner of an Oklahoma roadside zoo Growler Pines Tiger Preserve, was killed by a tiger at his roadside zoo this weekend. Easley owned at least ten tigers. Prior to operating Growler Pines, Easley ran ShowMe Tigers, a circus act featuring tigers that traveled throughout the U.S.

Humane World for Animals, in collaboration with the Northwest Poultry Farmers Association of Chihuahua, is working to accelerate the transition to the production of eggs from cage-free hens through hands-on training and farm visits. This initiative fosters constructive dialogue between egg producers and buyers, aiming to align production practices with growing market demand for higher animal welfare standards.

WARSAW, Poland - The animal protection organization Humane World for Animals, formerly known as Humane Society International, recently made grants to assist five animal shelters in areas affected by the devastating flooding in 2024 in southwestern Poland.
