Humane World for Animals made its debut at New York Fashion Week with an exclusive collaboration at world-renowned designer Christian Siriano's fall show.

In an upcoming episode of Project Runway airing July 30, Humane World for Animals takes center stage for a special design challenge judged by Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and Law Roach that proves creativity and compassion can go hand in hand. Inspired by beloved animals and the habitats they call home, designers will go head-to-head to create runway looks using only cruelty-free, sustainable and animal-free materials, demonstrating that small choices can add up to big changes that benefit animals.

As part of the challenge, mentor Christian Siriano will describe his experience of working with Humane World for Animals to help move the fashion industry forward through ethical, cruelty-free design. The winning designer will also receive a Humane Journeys adventure to experience Humane World's animal protection work firsthand.

“Celebrating animals through inspiration without harming them is sure to deliver beautiful results, and we hope the rest of the fashion world takes notice,” said PJ Smith, Humane World for Animals’ fashion policy principal. “Today’s shoppers are looking for fashionable alternatives that don’t involve animal suffering, and this episode of Project Runway will showcase the versatility of materials matching that compassionate style.”

Humane World for Animals works to end the use of animals in fashion by educating the public about animal-friendly fashion choices, working with retailers to persuade them to abandon real fur, and advocating for policies that ban fur farming and fur sales.

Project Runway Season 22 airs on Freeform on Thursday at 9:30 p.m. Eastern and is available on Freeform, Hulu and Disney+.
