產業試圖削弱歐盟化妝品新動物試驗數據禁令 遭歐盟法庭駁回
歐洲聯盟法院於今日針對歐盟2013年動物實驗及貿易禁令之適用範圍作出裁決,其裁決內容為:如該產品是2013年3月之後出產,且在歐盟地區以外依賴動物實驗而成的,禁止在歐盟販賣。國際人道協會將此裁定視為促進動物福祉的一大勝利。先前,歐洲化妝品原料聯盟帶著歐盟2013年動物實驗及貿易禁令到法院申請較狹義的解釋——即在非歐盟地區,由當地法規規定必須進行的動物實驗數據可拿來證明在歐盟販售的化妝品的安全性。此釋義如通過,無非使歐盟動物實驗及貿易禁令毫無用武之地。國際人道協會#讓美麗遠離殘酷活動總監Claire Mansfield表示,「我們很高興化妝品公司欲規避歐盟動物實驗及貿易禁令的這種自私企圖失敗了
終結化粧品動物實驗法案通過關鍵初審
